podcast Science Quickly interviewed Jason Briner on what it’s like to live and work on the Greenland ice sheet. Briner is one of the leaders of Project GreenDrill, which involves collecting bedrock samples from beneath the Greenland ice sheet to determine the last time it melted. “The bed of the ice sheet contains a history of the ice that covers it — basically the words, the stories of the history of the ice sheet. It’s a book of information down there that we want to read if we can get those samples,” he said.
